CABI ebooks archive added

August 6th, 2010 by Ruth Gustafson

CABI ebooks archive added

The BioAg & Map Services department has licensed the backfiles (archive) to the CABI ebooks. This more than doubles the number of titles for this important collection of major agricultural books online.  This collection is divided into six core subject collections: Agriculture; Animal and Veterinary Sciences; Human, Food and Nutrition Sciences; Plant Sciences; Environmental Sciences; and Leisure and Tourism.

Full collection at  http://www.cabi.org/cabebooks/default.aspx?site=107&page=36

Databases which index books/book chapters (CAB Abstracts, BIOSIS Previews) will link to these CABI ebooks via UC-eLinks.

As of August 2010, the ebooks archive is accessible covering titles from 2000-2004. The full CABI ebooks package provides access to over 460 agricultural titles (over 7,000 individual chapters). The archive includes 230+ titles (with over 4,000 individual chapters).

PLEASE NOTE: This collection does *not* include ALL books published by CABI but selected titles. In particular, the publisher has chosen *not* to include textbooks in this package.
