Banfield Pet Hospital® and the Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine Association (EBVMA) is inviting veterinary students to join in an international student writing competition this fall. Students will be asked to write a Critically Appraised Topic (CAT) — a synthesis of published evidence to answer a clinical question, aimed at helping veterinary professionals make the best possible medical decisions for their patients.
Four winning submissions will be selected each year for publication in the peer-reviewed Banfield Journal, a quarterly clinical publication focused on disease prevention, clinical diagnosis and treatment, and client education. Each winner will also receive a $500 honorarium. Runners-up will be posted at banfield.com and www.ebvma.org. Submissions will be accepted starting Sept. 1.
