The library has recently subscribed to Foundations and Trends in Electronic Design Automation. This joins our subscription to Foundations and Trends in Theoretical Computer Science. Both journals provide issue-length reviews of contemporary topics in these fields, which can serve as primers, introductions or reviews for researchers and students alike. For example, recent topics include Temperature-Aware Design and Management for 3D Multi-Core Architectures and Complexity of Linear Boolean Operators.
A similar series that the library subscribes to is the Morgan and Claypool Synthesis series, which provide comprehensive overviews and introductions to a wide variety of topics in engineering and computer science.
Please check these journals and series out and let us know what you think at email@example.com!

Thanks to a generous donation, the PSE library now has a current subscription and the complete print backfiles of Make: Magazine.
Make: Magazine (which is subtitled “technology on your time”) covers all kinds of do-it-yourself engineering projects, from building robots to balloon cameras to kinetic remote controls. There are four issues a year, and each issue is packed full of fun ideas and projects.
You can find the current issues and backfiles of Make: in the Physical Sciences and Engineering library, downstairs on the lower level on the current periodicals wall, at call number TK1 .M28.
We hope you enjoy our new copies of Make:, and if you use them to make your own projects be sure to bring pictures of the results into the library and we will put them on our bulletin board next to the LEGOs!

Access seems to be restored for ACS Journals as of Tue: 1/14/14, 4pm.
ACS (American Chemical Society) journals are down as of 1/14/14 1pm. ACS knows about it and is working to fix the problem.
The journal web pages appear fine, but when you try to get an article by clicking on the PDF, you are told:
“Your current credentials do not allow retrieval of the full text.”
